How accurate is the analyzer?

The accuracy is determined by the application, mainly the material and range of elemental concentration. Needless to say, using scientific means to determine the chemistry is markedly better than the educated guessing known as visual inspection.

Why is this better than a visual inspection of scrap?

Your eyes get tired, and you need to blink every now and again. Check out this video if your eyes aren't blurry. If you prefer to read, we have an article for you.

What production rate do you run at?

Real time. We don't care how fast.

What elements do you read and report?

The detectable and measurable elements vary based on the material type (ferrous, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.) and the concentrations. PGNAA is able to detect a wide range of elements, and we are able to report the critical elements needed in each recycled metal type.

Does your analyzer use XRF ( X-ray fluorescence) or is it surfaced oriented?

Our proprietary analyzer doesn't use XRF and is also not surfaced oriented.

Can you run 1,000 tons per hour?

The analyzer does not have limits on the production rate. On-line PGNAA is installed in applications ranging from less than 10 to more than 2000 TPH.

What is the historical time for your analysis? Is it 24 hours?

Our analyzers are real-time, so the analysis you get is for now and not yesterday. Yesterday isn't helpful!
